Corporate Fundraising for Noah’s Ark
Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice, Barnet
6 months fixed term
9am to 5.30pm Mon-Fri (including 1 hour lunch)
Unpaid work experience

Purpose:

·  To help and support Noah’s Ark’s growth in corporate fundraising

·  To gain experience within corporate fundraising and the third sector

Responsibilities:

·  To manage the administration of Noah’s Ark’s corporate partnerships

·  To input information onto our database

·  To manage stock inventory for Noah’s Ark corporate collection boxes and pin badges

·  To identify and research potential new corporate partners or funders and other corporate opportunities (for example Cause Related Marketing)

·  To research and record annual key dates and opportunities, such as Charity of the Year schemes and networking events

·  To produce compelling and innovative funding proposals and applications under the supervision of our Senior Corporate Fundraiser

·  To help develop new and existing corporate relationships into sustainable, long-term partnerships through excellent stewardship

·  To liaise with our Finance team to ensure accuracy of reconciliation of monies

·  To work alongside the Marketing & Communications Officer to produce tweets and facebook posts on Noah’s Ark corporate events and to support delivery of corporate marketing campaigns

·  To work alongside the Challenge Events Officer to recruit Corporate employees to take part in Noah’s Ark’s challenge event

·  To work alongside the wider Fundraising Team to maximise income.

In addition the Corporate Fundraiser Intern will be expected:

·  To work within legal and charity guidelines especially within the Institute of Fundraising codes of practice

·  To manage and work within Noah’s ark Children’s Hospice’s administrative, IT systems and guidelines

·  To represent Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice as required and to be an Ambassador for the organisation at all times

·  To undertake training and skills development and keep up to date with the changing requirements of the role

·  To undertake other duties as may be required

Person Specification – Corporate Fundraiser Intern

Essential:

·  Degree or equivalent level education

·  Experience of working in an office environment

·  Strong IT and internet skills

·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with a wide range of people at all levels

·  Excellent time management and organisational skills

·  A keen eye for detail and a methodical approach

·  Excellent interpersonal skills – able to interact with wide variety of personnel

·  A highly motivated individual who is able to work well on their own initiative, as well as part of a team

·  Flexibility

Desirable:

·  Experience of corporate fundraising

·  Experience of working in the charity sector

·  Knowledge of or empathy with the work undertaken by Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice

·  Driver


Note:
This role will require some London travel. The role may also require some flexible working to attend relevant events etc.
