Target Audience
This program has been designed for pulmonary, cardiothoracic surgery, radiology, surgical pathology attending, residents, nursing staff and medical students.
Educational Objectives
After completing this activity, participants should be able to:
· List a differential diagnosis from specific radiographic pattern (interstitial, nodule; cystic; etc)
· Formulate a sequence of diagnostic testing to arrive at a diagnosis
· Describe on the most appropriate biopsy techniques
· Define the pathological findings for common malignant and inflammatory chest diseases
· Determine when surgical intervention is required in patient management
· Manage the care of the patient with complex respiratory disorders through direct communication with practitioners throughout various disciplines
