Care Management Event Tracking (CMET)

Class Description
This will be a one day [8:30 - 3:30] hands-on training on CMET which stands for Care Management Event Tracking, a new application being deployed through iCare. The participant will learn about the unique features and functions of CMET to electronically track and manage certain pre-defined events related to breast, cervical, colon, and skeletal health through to completion. Participants will learn about the CMET workflow and will utilize the CMET worksheet to enter findings, follow-up, and patient notifications on tracked events. The participant will utilize the batch process functionality to batch process normal pap smears and mammogram screenings. Participants will set up CMET layout templates and CMET filters for the CMET tab main view in user preferences and define CMET site parameters for tickler time-frames and batch processing. Participants will practice creating panels and customizing the CMET layouts based on a variety of clinical scenarios related to CMET events. Participants will add a TIU note and create letters using TIU templates for patient notification of results and recommendations.
Objectives
Utilize case scenarios and population management techniques to create “CMET event based” panels
Utilize CMET to track and manage certain pre-defined events related to breast, cervical, colon, and skeletal healthcare
Describe the CMET iCare setup, user access, and user preferences
Navigate the CMET tabs on Main View, Panel View, and Patient Record View utilizing iCare and Windows Based Tools to display, sort, filter, and analyze CMET event data
