Summer Concert – Saturday 16th July 2016
Dear Parents
I can’t believe how quickly the time has passed and now we look forward to the Joseph Rowntree Theatre Concert this coming Saturday, 16th July. I now have some solid timings so am able to share the details of the evening with you. I know that you already sent slips to indicate involvement back in March, but would appreciate confirmation of your child’s involvement please on the slip below.
The children will need to be dropped off at the theatre doors please at 6.00pm. They need to have eaten before they arrive please, but may bring a water bottle with them with their name clearly marked. If they come in a coat, please can you take that away with you as we do not have much space at the theatre.
FULL uniform is required please including RED cardi / jumper. White polo / blouses / shirts are required please as we had for the Abbey Concert. If the theatre is really warm, we may take off cardigans / jumpers, so please do ensure that the white tops are worn. All long hair is to be tied back neatly please and no trainers are to be worn. Girls are to wear short white socks please.
The concert begins at 7.30pm, and doors open at 7.00pm.
The choir are singing in the first half so will then be able to watch the rest of the performance from a seat in the theatre. They will be supervised by school staff. Should you wish to collect your child at the interval, please let us know so that we can meet you.
Tickets are available directly through the theatre. The details are opposite.
We do hope that you can be there to cheer the children on. Please let us know if someone other than you will be collecting your child at the end.
Thank you for all your support of the choir this year! We have an exciting time ahead next term – working with the Minster to stage a concert there in December.
