Withnell Anglers

Withnell Anglers held an open day at Lodge Bank in July, they are also recruiting new members especially juniors. Speeding, road signs and parking

We operate a speed indicator device throughout the Parish. We are often contacted regarding speeding, motorists being inconsiderate to other road users and inappropriate parking on pavements of double yellow lines. We have the opportunity to request Parkwise to issue penalty notices, we hope that this will not be necessary, please be considerate when driving and parking your car.

24A Bus

As part of our commitment to supporting the local community, the Parish Council has agreed to contribute to the Borough Councils subsidy in order to keep this vital lifeline operating. If you or your relatives use this service, please lobby Lancashire County Council for its retention.

Hedges

We would like to remind property owners that overgrown hedges should be cut back before they obstruct footpaths or pavements.

With winter coming please remember that, only the bus routes are gritted. Harbour Lane is not treated.

Parking Problems

A major cause of concern raised with the Parish Council is caused by pavement parking.

Please ensure there is sufficient room for pedestrians if you need to park on the pavement.
