Wigan Borough Sports Council Subscription
I am writing you with a request for your annual subscription to the Wigan Borough Sports Council covering the 1st April 2013 – 31st March 2014.
The membership fee will remain the same and be £25 for Rate Relief clubs and £10 for all other clubs. Please remember that subscription to the Sports Council is a condition of rate relief and Wigan Council do confirm membership with us on an annual basis.
The money raised will go towards maintaining the Wigan Borough Sports Council website which is a valuable resource for the Voluntary Sector with a club directory and news feed. It will also contribute towards the Annual General Meeting and securing high profile speakers and provide a funding source for local clubs to apply to if required.
Please complete the attached form along with a cheque (made payable to the Wigan Borough Sports Council) and send to Graham Baron, Treasurer at the address above. Following receipt of your payment you will receive a receipt and also your certificate of membership that can be displayed at your club.
WBSC AGM
This years Wigan Borough Sports Council AGM will held on Tuesday 11th at Wigan Cricket Club, 6.45pm for a 7pm start to finish no later than 9pm. The evening is an opportunity to hear a number of updates on relevant programmes and initiatives. The Wigan Borough Sports Council has recently secured a significant amount of funding from Public Health to deliver the SpecFit programme which will be launched on the evening. The programme will give WBSC member clubs the opportunity to apply for funding to improve the health and physical activity levels of members, fans and the local community.

The 13th Wigan Borough Sports Awards
The Wigan Borough Sports Awards will be held on Thursday 5th May 2013 at the DW Stadium. We would also like to take this opportunity to encourage you to nominate your club, an individual in the club who makes a difference or a sports achiever that has done something special over the last year. 70 nominations were received last year and Wigan
