EXAMPLE:

CAESAR – JULIUS Julius Caesar was fatally stabbed yesterday by several of his Roman citizens in a brutal attack that is sure to shake the foundations of the Roman Republic. He was 66 years old.

Caesar gained his fame through many military conquests in his early life, particularly in the area of Gaul where his forces gained massive amounts of land for the Roman Republic. He commanded a legion of 5,000 loyal soldiers and used this military might to defeat Pompey in 48 B.C. which made him the most powerful man in all of Rome.

Once he gained complete control of the Roman Republic, he began to issue a number of reforms designed to assist the poor in our community. He attempted to redistribute lands to the poor and tried to bring about change to the republic by granting citizenship to people of foreign countries and ending the rule of corrupt rulers.

Earlier this year, Caesar declared himself “Dictator for Life” which brought about a great amount of fear in the Roman Senators who thought that Caesar was gaining too much power. His brutal stabbing has brought sadness and uncertainty throughout Rome.

He leaves behind thousands of supporting Romans who will forever look upon Caesar as a wonderful leader who brought peace and order to the land. A funeral mass will be held at the Roman Gardens from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM today, March 16, 44 B.C.
