CAMPAIGN CABINET CHAIR

Goal of the position:

The Campaign Cabinet is integral to United Way CSO’s annual fundraising campaign. The Campaign Cabinet, led by a Campaign Chair supports the campaign by strengthening existing relationships and opening new doors to increase donations.

Scope of the position:

As a member of the Campaign Cabinet Volunteer Team and serving as the leader of such, is responsible for working closely with the Manager, Community Engagement on the planning and execution of the Annual Campaign along with communicating effectively in ensuring that the Annual Campaign reaches its full potential.

Core responsibilities

Building Relationships:

  • Attend Cabinet & Campaign Signature events and planning meetings throughout the year.
  • Share your existing network
  • Meet with decision-makers of the current campaigns within your industry segment to secure commitment for the upcoming campaign
  • Identify new opportunities with industry segment and work with the Cabinet Chair and Manager, Community Engagement to build these relationships.

Act Strategically

  • Develop and implement industry segment strategies in consultation with the Manager, Community Engagement
  • Collaborate in the development of Campaign strategies
  • Be authentically involved in your workplace campaign
  • Support the United Way financially

Communicating Effectively:

  • Represent and actively promote and share United Way CSO message.
  • Participate in United Way Cabinet Volunteer training to ensure correct messaging.
  • Share new ideas and implement strategies for fund development in collaboration with Campaign Cabinet team.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with the Manager, Community Engagement.
  • Communicate United Way CSO mission and vision.

Commitment:

In order to ensure consistency and maintain momentum throughout the duration of the campaign, this is a year-long commitment with United Way CSO with particular emphasis during August-December.
