TENDER FOR SALE OF USED CARS
The Delegation of the European Union to Ethiopia invites tenders for the sale of the followings vehicles:-

The vehicles will be available for inspection at the EU Delegation compound on normal working days from 27th December 2016 to4th January 2017,from 10:00 to 12:00 and in the afternoon between 14:00 to 16:30.
The Tender conditions are as below:-
1) The vehicles would be sold ‘as is where is -basis’without any warranties whatsoever,
2) Interested bidders shall submit a tender accompanied by bidsecurity of 2% of total bid price in the form of CPO only from any recognized bank in Ethiopia with the following name:-

The bid security will be returned to the unsuccessful bidders
3)The winner shall pay in full the assessed duties and taxes (unless they are exempt) and present
the evidence of payment and present final customs declaration before the car is released.
4)The successful tenderer (s) shall pay full amount in CPO only within 48 (forty eight) hours from
the notification of award to

5) The tender award notice will be given by telephone only to the winner. The sale shall be forfeited if the tenderer cannot be reached by telephone within 24 hours and or the tender amount is not paid within 48 hours after the submission deadline.
6) If the tender winner is not successful as per the bid instructions, the Delegation will go for the 2nd bidder.
The tender must be submitted in plain sealed envelope clearly marked "Tender for sale of used vehicle" on the left hand corner, indicating, the engine and chassis number of thevehicle,
The tender shall be submitted in any format by the bidder which should contain the detail of the vehicle, the offered amount, detailed contact address like telephone, e-mail, P.O.Box etc.
Separate quotations should be submitted for each vehicle

The deadline for submission is4th January 2017 at 16:30
The tender document should be submitted at the appropriate box prepared at the reception of EU Delegation to Ethiopia located in front of Desalegne Hotel no. 2
The winner will be notified by the latest 31st January2016
Late arrival of bids shall not be accepted
The EU Delegation to Ethiopia reserves the right to accept or reject any of the bids in whole or parts thereof.
