South Wilts Riding Club – Training

Interested in joining in with some training? We are delighted to say that we have at least one training session every week at one of our three venues (Details of which can be found on the maps page) – alongside this we also host specialist training days with top instructors as well as team training on the run up to qualifying events.

Our regular instructors teach a variety of disciplines and encourage all new and renewing members to join – you are welcome to attend a session to watch before you commit to joining in.

an insight into what they may be able to offer you.

Flatwork, Gridwork and Show Jumping Lessons with Di Burgess.

Fortnightly 6.30 – 8.00pm alternate Thursdays @ Teffont

Diana is an extremely experienced instructor who is quick to assess both horse and rider, and offers constructive and effective advice. In her career she has worked with Bruce Davidson and Lucinda Green, competing at top level in Canada and in the UK (CCI***). She now specialises in teaching and bringing on young horses. (She started 4* horses such as Tamarillo, Two-O-Two and Swizzle-in).

Sarah is a young enthusiastic instructor who prides herself on sharing herpassionand confidence with her clients. She is a qualified BHS instructor and now runs her own very successful riding school in Fovant (SMS equestrian). She has been an active BE competitor and club member for some time, representing SWRC at BRC Championships in a range of disciplines. Sarah enjoys the challenge of teaching and takes a particular interest in bringing on the junior members of SWRC

Flatwork/Dressage lessons with Julia Cory BHSII

Fortnightly Saturdays @ Hurdcott

Julia is an excellent instructor, always in demand. She is a British Dressage Coach with UKCC Level 2 Dressage Qualification . She has a good knowledge of modern coaching skills and teaches dressage up to Elementary Level.

Julia has a great eye for detail with both horse and rider which produces excellent results in group or individual lessons.
