The General Secretary, AIUCBOF in his address highlighted the problems being faced by lady officers of our bank vis-à-vis Management attitude towards lady officers. He highlighted various problems that lady officers are facing both in Bank and outside the Bank. He also urged upon lady officers to adjust with hard reality of service life as entry of large no. of lady officers virtually make it impossible for Bank to give them convenient posting especially in the light of compulsory rural/semi-urban service.

In all 29 lady comrades from various Units of Federation participated in the discussion. They raised various issues starting from provision for convenient posting of lady officers in the Transfer Policy as well as instead of one option for choice posting on marriage grounds it should be three, stern actions against all sexual offenders, problems and constraints of lady officers, better wage revision for Bank Officers etc. All the speakers appreciated the report placed by the General Secretary as it was very comprehensive covering all aspects affecting lady officers.
The General Secretary, AIUCBOF replied in detail to all points raised by the speakers and thereafter, the General Secretary’s report was adopted by the House unanimously.
Smt. Smriti Shukla of UP Unit wonderfully anchored both Inaugural and Business Sessions of the Convention.

We take this opportunity to extend sincere thanks to our Uttar Pradesh Unit for holding the National Convention of Women Officers of UCO Bank in a most remarkable and spectacular manner. This Convention will, no doubt, remain as a milestone in the history of Federation. The lady officers will continue to derive inspiration, devotion, confidence, faith and courage from the National Convention of Women Officers and it would further strengthen the unity and consolidation not only among lady officers but between lady and male officers also.
