Secretary Report: (Seidl) - BEC meeting attendance/quorum verified. NovBEC meeting minutes and Special January BEC Planning meeting minutes made availablevia email/hard copy. No changes requested; approved by MSA. Action Items/Schedule of Operations reviewed:

- Aug:-BS - Request Emeritus status for Mario Vazquez. [Rule 24g]. Pending approval, HLM Form 45 for Marron to be submitted

- Jan:- BS - Check calendar for holidays that necessitate meeting date changes [bylaws sec 35]

- BS –Send form 27 by 10th of month [rule 167] (need consultation w/Hartle & Walling to reconcile totals)

- BS – Confirm Nominating and Audit Committee Appointments and Committee Chairmen by 1/1 [rules 130, 255] (completed)

- BS - Communicate Goals and Action Plans to membership and assure placement in BEC Minutes, Newsletter, and Website (Feb mtg)

- BS - Secure BEC approval of year’s branch activities and record in BEC minutes [rule 151.1] (completed and ongoing)

- BS - Provide new member Quarterly Report to Area Gov by 1/5 [rule 168] (pending)

- LS - Assist BS in writing Quarterly Report (pending)

Big Sir Report: (Hines)

Installation of new officers (completed @ lunch by Tomassian); Will meet new Director & Governor on 1/12/18; thanks to Marron and Garabedian for successful holiday party; announcement that Pete Guerin has been assigned as new Nominating Chair; Robert Vazquez to perform Audit.

Treasurer Report: (Garabedian)

- Distributed Dec. 2017 Treasurer’s report (ending balance $1097.17) - received by MSA; annual $25 Dues for 2018 due (good progress at lunch); - - License Plate Frames ($2) now available as birthday gifts – great for publicity. Shirts and hats also still available until gone.

RAMP Recruitment Chair: (Hartle)

- New Membership goal for 2018: 12 new members (total, not net, excluding xfers) approved by MSA. 36 guests in 2017 yielded 17 new members.

- New member apps (12) reviewed - Jim Snyder, George Rose, Lazardo Garza, Roger Daniels, Jim Hicks, John Humphrey, Bob Lawler, Frank Leone, Alan Baker, Tom Smith (all these10 are Br 141 xfers), plus Jack Byers, Russ Henderson. All approved by MSA.

- Induction ceremonyconducted for Russ Henderson at lunch. Welcome and introduction for all Br 141 xfers also performed at lunch

RAMP Member Relations Chair: (Tomassian)

-4 member ejections for low attendance/non-response to repeated contacts: John Vargas, Ray Snyder, Bob Estrada, Wayne Bay.

RAMP Activities Chair: (Chairmantbd)

- Golf (Bombaci): considering golf balls as birthday gifts

- Petanque (Garabedian): looking into day/hour changes

- Hiking (Tomassian): Hike 1/11/18 on Kennedy Rd – also announced at lunch.

RAMP Publicity and Image Chair: (Brown) - Working to establish a support committee; must also migrate off Hersh’s private machine; Seidl added as a Blog admin; Alan Baker interested in assisting. Also note that the 3 Flames wireless password was recently changed to “flames123”.

Other Committee Chairs:

- Sunshine (Speciale) – Sympathy card sent for Steve Popovich –his funeral is Jan 20th at 3pm at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Card also sent to Archie Belogolovskyupon passing of wife in Nov.

- Web Master (Walling) Unable to execute annual printout of rosters due to problems at printer – plan to complete next month. Current branch assignments are all up-to-date on webpage.

New Business– none to report

- Lunch guests/sponsors– reportedly 3 guests from Richard Kabanek (out sick) per John Knapp: Bob Lavesque, Mike Rosino and one other.
