QUICK QUOTES FROM:

TOM WATSON

JAMES BLAIR, III

GARY HALLBERG

Tom Watson

Q. You played really well today. What was working out there for you?

TOM WATSON: Well I made some long putts today. I didn't hurt myself too badly, although I challenged the water on both 16 and 17 and came away with 1over par on those two holes. So I was pretty lucky there. But I made two long putts and hit the ball pretty well and a little bit better today than I did yesterday, so I can't complain.

Q. When you step away from this week what are you going to remember? Were there one or two things that you think may have cost you from having a chance at this thing?

TOM WATSON: Well, yeah, I could go back and make excuses, but I just didn't play well enough. I drove the ball very well and that was not the issue. My iron play wasn't very accurate. I wasn't very good with the distance on my irons and my putting was pretty poor. I made a couple long putts today, but that makes up for some of the putts I missed, but it didn't make up enough.

Q. You spent four days around this course now, good test for championship golf? Did you like it out there?

TOM WATSON: Oh, sure. Yeah, it's a wonderful test of golf. It requires every club in your bag and it's a lot of fun to play this golf course.

Q. Do you think a Ryder Cup, a PGA Championship could be played on this course?

TOM WATSON: I don't know. It's brand new.

James Blair, III

Q. How was your experience here at the Colorado Golf Club?

JAMES BLAIR, III: It was fun. I didn't play real well. I played well, I didn't score real well. But I love the golf course.

I made the cut, that was my primary goal. I didn't have, really have a very good round any of the four days, but I haven't played much.

Q. What do you think you're going to work on in the future to try and get back here?

JAMES BLAIR, III: Well I'll start playing again this fall. I don't know how much I'm going to play this summer, but we have the National Senior Club Pro. And just work on my short game, that was really missing this week. But I enjoyed it.

Gary Hallberg

Q. What were the highlights of the week for you?

GARY HALLBERG: Just being in Colorado. The fans were really great. Playing this golf course, just being here. I think that was the highlight.

On a footnote, I think that, as far as the golf goes, I thought I played, hit the ball well enough, didn't putt well enough this week, and that was kind of my moral of my week, the moral of the story for me this week.

It was just one of those week, some weeks you hit the ball bad and you putt the ball good, some weeks you do the opposite. I just didn't get it all together.

Q. How great was it for you playing in your home state?

JAMES BLAIR, III: It was wonderful. It was just great to see a lot of people I haven't seen in a while, a lot of people out here. There is quite a crowd. It's going to be an exciting finish and it would have been nice to be there, but it was a great week.
