ProSTEP iViP Symposium

Digitalization of Products & Production

Darmstadt –16. February 2017–On 17 and 18May 2017,the PLM-Symposium for professionals and executives from all over the world will take place at the Colosseum Theatre in Essen, Germany.

Global competition, shorter development times, lower costs, Internet of things, Systems Engineering, increasing complexity of products and production are the issues that concern the manufacturing industry. Engineering and production have tobe closely interlocked–more transparency is needed. The management needs the right figures and prognoses to make decisions. This requires innovative thinking, new methods, and processes and in the end efficient software tools. All these aspects will be subject matters at the ProSTEP iViP Symposium 2017.

More than 40 lectures will present innovative conceptsand IT solutions for the manufacturing industry. Workshops and live-demonstrations at the accompanying exhibition should provide further information and insight. The complete conference program is available at

In addition to opening speakersDr. Hölz & Dr. Picard (thyssenkrupp), keynote speakers like e.g. Karl Heinz Zachries(CONTACT) und Ralf Waltram (BMW), Helge Engelhard (Ministerialdirigent, German Federal Ministry for Economy and Technology) and Prof. Dr. Armin TrostProfessor for Human Resource Management Furtwangen University)will share their thoughts with the audience.

The organizerProSTEP iViP e.V. expects about 650 participants from industry, research & science, and IT.

The symposium will be held for the 20th time and has become established as an independent conference in the area of Product Lifecycle Management.
