EVENTS AND ORDER

The district cross-country meet will consist of the following events and in this order.

7th grade boys / Two mile run(lap in blue and red)
8th grade girls / One mile run (lap in blue)
8th grade boys / Two mile run(lap in blue and red)

Site:Course will be at Pearland High School.

Park on the visitor side of The Rig.

Awards:1st-3rdplace medals. Ribbons 4-25 finishers in each Division.

All Bay Area League schools will be included in the districtmeet. Entry fee for each team entered will be $10.00 (per grade & per gender, per season).

STARTING TIME4:30p.m.
NUMBER OF EVENTS PER CONTESTANT

Each runner may compete in one division. A 7th grade runner may compete in the 8th grade division, but an 8th grade runner may not run in the 7th grade division.

NUMBER OF CONTESTANTS PER SCHOOL

Schools may have up to 15 total participants in each division for the district meet.

Race Guidelines

If a runner falls during the first 100m due to contact with another runner, the race shall be restarted.In the event of a discrepancy of the final results, the host school will hold a meeting directly after the meet with all participating coaches to determine the appropriate action for final awards.

POINT SYSTEM FOR TEAM SCORING

A minimum of five runners compose a team. The first five finishers for each school will be awarded points according to their finishing place. The first place team is the team with the lowest score.

STATE UIL ELIGIBILITY WILL APPLY.

TATTOOS

All tattoos must be covered while participating in an athletic event.

Girls will follow only the blue line for 1 mile

Boys will follow the blue line until they reach Pearland Pkwy where they will turn left and follow the red line for mile one. They will continue back through the start line and follow the blue line, making a right turn at Pearland Pkwy for mile two. All divisions will finishin The Rig.

Please have spectators sit in the stands on the home side of The Rig.
