8. What is the justification for the decision about full assessment?
This is a wide ranging policy using multi agencies and potentially affecting all residents in the District residing in privately owned accommodation. It is particularly aimed at targetting vulnerable groups and individuals.
This policy is due to be reviewed upon the evaluation of the House Condition Survey (expected in the first quarter of 2009).

The assessment should be undertaken at the time of the policy review by the Environmental Health Manager. We are likely to carry out the full assessment in June/July 2009 when we are reviewing the policy in light of the final recommendations contained in the Private Sector House Condition Survey.
