Call to Order
The meeting of the Park Hill High School PTA was called to order by president Bonnie Cannon at 5:30pm

Principal's Report
Dr. Kincheloereported on ACT pending results, issues and solutions with lap tops and new Innovation Center, traffic solutions pending, PTA will add information regarding ticket deadlines to their Tip Sheet for parents
Presidents Report
PHHS PTA President’s Report September 2016
After Prom Auction: Need donations. Online auction for timely items already collected. Auction moved to February 25th at Argosy.
After Prom Party: April 22nd Secured building. Put in a call for the pool. Put several inflatables on hold. Laser Tag, Human Bowling, Obstacle slide, Bungee Run. On waiting list for Human Sphere. Might get adult trikes. Contacted Patti Erneste about having some of the junior exec kids weigh in on inflatables. Need to get dimensions of the gym and circuit information.
Set a date and location for a BINGO fundraiser.
Spiritwear: First Thursday’s underway. Sales are going well for two reasons. Appealing styles and being able to take credit cards.
October Newsletter went out. If you have something you would like to submit for the November newsletter let me know.
October 24th after school PTA is hosting Northland Jazzercize for teachers. 18 have registered to attend.
Dr. Kincheloe is up for a Principal Cook-Off. Need to sit down and fine tune the details now.
Reflections: Due date November 10th. Theme: What Is Your Story” As part of the collaboration, Guitar Center will donate musical instruments to a number of local PTAs across the country to support their arts education efforts, inspire students to participate in the National PTA Reflections program and spark students’ interest to create music. Local PTAs will also have the opportunity to tap into a wide range of support from Guitar Center locations in their areas, such as having Guitar Center instructors serve as judges for their Reflections programs.
MO PTA: Election guide. Every candidate was asked 5 questions by MO PTA concerning education and family engagement. Most answered them. 50,000 PTA members in Missouri.
National PTA: There is a new opportunity for any PTA to receive Kindle e-readers! PTAs that sign up their PTA Family Reading Experiences for National Reading Month (March 2017) will receive an entry to the giveaway, which will occur in March 2017.
PTA Takes Action: Contact your Senators and Representative today and ask them to support Statewide Family Engagement Centers the FY 2017 Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies (L-HHS-ED) appropriations bill. Funding for this program would recognize the important role of parents and families in a child's education.
Conventions: MO PTA, April 28-30 in Columbia
NPTA, June 22-25 in Las Vegas
Committee Reports
Reflections entries due by November 10th.
Floor opened for Questions
Further discussion about Homecoming tickets not being sold on the Friday before Homecoming. Dr. Kincheloe explained the procedure. To assist with spreading the word, PTA will include the procedure on their Tip Sheet handed to parents at orientation and open house.
