CHEER CHAMP REGISTRATION

For: Incoming 9th thru incoming 12th grade

Anyone who is interested in coming out for BHS Cheerleading next school year and would like to join us at summer cheer camp Aug. 8 – 10, 2018 in Minot at Bishop Ryan School, we will be having the informational meeting Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at the HS Mezzanine. Sign-up sheets will be handed out that evening. We will need to know who all is going by March 1, 2018, so if interested please come to the meeting. If there is any questions, please contact Coach Kim at 701.301.9692 or Coach Jess at 701.260.6591.

WINTER WEATHER GEAR

Parents & students are reminded to bring proper winter attire to school. All students will go outside for recess unless wind chill temps are in the danger zone. Students need to have coats, hats, gloves, and boots. Students playing in the snow will need snow pants. If you are in need of assistance with purchasing any of these items, please contact Ms. Murschel or Mrs. Schnaidt. Coming to school unprepared for the weather is not an excuse to stay indoors.

HOMEWORK CLUB

We offer homework assistance in the MS Library from 3:10-4:10 each day Monday thru Thursday. Our homework club is staffed by 1-3 paraprofessionals, as needed. Please consider taking advantage of this opportunity, especially if homework has become an issue at your home. We have a number of students who are not turning in homework, which leads to other problems. This is a great way to alleviate that problem & allow your child/children to go home from school without having to worry about homework. Please call the office if you have any questions.

SHARING TABLE

We will be making a sharing table available during meal times at the Middle School. Students are allowed to put unwanted, unopened items on a cart/table near the salad bar, which other students are allowed to take. Items must be pre-packaged, such as milk or fruit cups or must have a peeling such as a banana or an orange. We are hoping to reduce the amount of food wasted within our lunch program. Please talk to Ms. Murschel or Mrs. Jankowski if you have any questions.

COMMUNITY MEETING

On February 20th at 7pm we will be holding an informational meeting as it pertains the current condition and outlook of our high school (specifically the 1963 addition). As mentioned to you before the high school has reached a point where some major decisions need to be made. This meeting will allow you to have a voice. I can’t say this enough – but we really want your involvement and your opinions. At the meeting you will hear of all the issues that the school is currently facing from structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues. You will hear specifically about the window project that needs to be done and the current building codes that would need to be updated doing so. We STRONGLY encourage you to attend this meeting. The High School will be open before and after the meeting for you to tour and see first hand the issues we are facing. Again that meeting will be on February 20th at 7pm in the High School Choir Room. Don’t hesitate to call superintendent Jordan or send an email with any questions you may have.

SOFTBALL STORE

There's still snow on the ground, but we're getting close to softball season, yay! Below is the link set up for our softball apparel. To be clear, warm ups aren't required but if your daughter is interested in gear for the upcoming season, the girls have been either sporting the Slugger pullover or the X-grain hoodie. Both are thicker warmer tops for cold weather. The other two jackets are thin. Purchase for your athlete, for you, or it's fine if you don't purchase anything.

This does seem a bit early, but we need to order now so we have the gear for our season. This is the gear you can personalize so if you need a number before you purchase, talk to Coach Brouwer or Coach Dacer as soon as possible.

Order Together. Pay Separately.
