VIP

(Very Important Panthers)

Our VIP continues to remain active in community service. The VIP organized a fundraiser to support the Kids for Kids campaign organized by the Register Herald by having students pay $1.00 on Monday, November 25th and Tuesday, November 26th to wear Pajamas and a hat. The money raised will be donated to the Register Herald so they can provide Christmas gifts to local kids who may not have otherwise received a Christmas gift.

The VIP will be assisting with Cabbage Patch for the Lewisburg Area Council of Churches. VIP is collecting canned or boxed goods from elementary and middle school students from December 9th through the 17th. Canned or boxed items should be turned in to homeroom teachers. VIP is also donating $500 fundraised at the Fall Fling for Food to Cabbage Patch for LACC to purchase perishable items for local families.

Students Donating to Children’s Hospital

AJ Frey and his sister McKenzie Moyer raised $1200 by selling homemade caramel popcorn to donate to Children’s Hospital. When the K99.1 radio station sponsored the Cares for Kids fundraising campaign, Annette Frey, aunt, and Kari Moyer, mom, planned to raise funds and came up with the idea of selling homemade caramel popcorn. They made the popcorn and AJ and McKenzie started selling the popcorn, which was donated by Baker’s Country Time Popcorn. After a week of selling the popcorn bags for $5.00 they had raised the $1200. Milano’s Pizza offered to triple that donation making the total donation $3600. We wanted to recognize the wonderful efforts of AJ, McKenzie and their families for this wonderful effort in service.
