Connor Sport Court International Provides

Championship Sport Court® Playing Surfaces

For NCAA Men’s Volleyball Championships

Irvine, California, April 26, 2008—When the NCAA’s National Collegiate Men’sVolleyball Championships get underway at the University of California, Irvine, on May 1-3, they will be played on high performance Response™ indoor flooring surfaces provided by Connor Sport Court International.

Sport Court® surfaces were first provided to the NCAA Volleyball Finals in 1993, said Ron Cerny, president and CEO of the Salt Lake City-based company. This year Connor Sport Court will provide the red and blue playing surface for the competition, customized and with the NCAA logos.

“It is part of our ongoing relationship with the NCAA’s volleyball program,” said Cerny.

“Sport Court’s Response has a high impact polypropylene surface over a shock and sound-attenuating layer. It’s a great choice for volleyball because its lateral forgiveness helps reduce joint stress and fatigue.”

The NCAA Men’s Volleyball Championships will draw teams to the UC Irvine Bren Center from throughout the U.S.

The NCAA Men’s Volleyball championships began in 1970. California teams have dominated the competition since then, especially University of California at Los Angeles.

Other powerhouse volleyball teams have included Southern California, Pepperdine, BrighamYoungUniversity and PennState.

Going into this year’s finals, the CBS College Sports Coach’s Poll ranks Penn State as Number 1, followed by Long Beach State (2), BYU (3), Cal State Northridge (4), Pepperdine (5), UCLA (6) UC Irvine (7), Stanford (8), Ohio State (9) and Ball State (10).

The courts will remain in place after the finals, to be used May 27 for the USA Volleyball Men’s National Team Match against Argentina.

Once the competitions are over Connor Sport Court will present each player with a piece of the Response championship surface on which they played their matches. This has become a tradition with the championships and Sport Court.

More athletic events are played on Connor Sport Court surfaces than on any other sports flooring in the world. Sport Court® is a registered trade mark of Connor Sport Court International. It is used to identify the original and authentic modular sport surfaces continually developed since first introduced in 1974.
