MU ALPHA THETA

Mu Alpha Theta is a Math Honor Society/Math Club for those students who appreciate the many aspects of Mathematics. We are a very active organization here at Klein Collins, participating in several math and science competitions throughout the Houston area and we also host two Math Contests ourselves here at Collins. One contest is a middle school contest and the other is a high school tournament. These are hosted to earn scholarship money for our graduating and active seniors. Last year, we gave out over $4000 in scholarships to our seniors, class of 2009. You will find that Mu Alpha Theta is a fun group of students that work together well and always find a way to have fun, no matter what we do. We have fun hosting tournaments and travelling to tournaments but we also have several socials throughout the school year, as well as a banquet/induction ceremony at the end of the school year. Come join us for our first meeting on Sept. 2, 2009, @ 7:00 a.m. in Room 412 and every Wednesday morning after that!!
