2nd ANNUAL KANSAS CITY INVITATIONAL MEET INFORMATION

EVENT DATE: June 11, 2016 LOCATION: Olathe North High School 600 East Prairie Street Olathe, Kansas 66061

SANCTION AND RULES: This event is sanctioned by USA Track and Field, and will be governed by USATF rules. A competitor must compete in his/her age division only. There will be no "moving up" in any events, including relays.

MEMBERSHIP: NO USATF MEMBERSHIP IS NEEDED FOR YOUTH AGE 8 & under-18 YEARS OF AGE. ATHLETES IN THE OPEN DIVISION OVER 18 YEARS OF AGE MUST HAVE USATF MEMBERSHIP BECAUSE THE MEET IS THE DESIGNATED MISSOURI VALLEY ASSOCIATION OPEN OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS.

ENTRY PROCESS:

WAIVER: All athletes who participate must complete the Participant Waiver and Release form.

INDIVIDUAL AWARDS: Metals will be awarded to places 1-3 in each event, ribbons will be awarded to places 3-6 in each event.

TEAM AWARDS: The top three teams with combined boys and girls scores will be awarded trophies. (Youth Only).

EVENT CHECK-IN: Athletes in running events must check-in at the designated area prior to their race. Athletes in the field events shall check in at the field event. All athletes will be required to remain in the designated warm-up areas after checking in.

COMPETITION BIB NUMBERS: All competitors must wear their assigned bib numbers during competition and on the front on their jerseys only. If an athlete loses the bib number, a replacement can be purchased for a fee of $10. Bib numbers will be distributed to the stadium beginning at 7:00 a.m. on June 11th, unless otherwise arranged with meet management.

EVENT RESULTS: During competition, event results will be posted on the wall near the press box. In addition, event results will be posted at

PROTESTS: There will be a $100 fee for all protests. Protests must be submitted to the Protest Referee at once and not later than 30 minutes after a result has been announced. The protest fee will be refunded if the protest is upheld.

CONDUCT & FACILITY: Olathe North High School and Olathe’s stadium is a smoke-free environment. The youth athletes participating and attending this event will undoubtedly model the conduct of the adults, parents, coaches, and Meet Management. Everyone associated with the meet, including spectators, are encouraged to conduct themselves in a professional manner, and to maintain order in their team’s area and throughout the facility. Anyone not conducting themselves in this manner will be asked to leave the premises by Officials, Meet Director, Meet Referee, or Meet Management.

GATE ADMISSION FEES: Adults - $5.00. 6 years and younger, and Olympians are free.

EVENT LIMITATIONS: Athletes age 7-12 will be allowed to compete in three (3) events.

Athletes 13-18 will be allowed to compete in four (4) events.
