Minutes of 2000 AGM – The minutes of the 2000 AGM, having been earlier circulated, were proposed by R. McGuire and seconded by M. Sieczkarek with one change to accuracy. Eve Haswell, despite not being listed, was in fact present at last years AGM.

Matters Arising: There were no matters arising.

Chairman’s Report: - The Chairman presented a detailed summary of the past years activity of the Sports Council and gave special thanks to Highland Council and Inverness & Nairn Enterprise for their continued funding as well as the Vice Chairs, Treasurer, Secretary and Executive Committees for their hard work during 2000-2001.

Treasurer's Report:-

Gordon Stuart reminded the meeting that new grant application forms incorporating the Highland Council Child Protection Policy must be used by clubs from now on.

A very comprehensive and detailed set of accounts were presented to the meeting with the membership being taken through each section. Income from minibus hire was lower than required although this has begun to improve of recent. There was a plea to encourage more applications for financial assistance as the end of year accounts show a grants surplus. The end of year financial status is always difficult to forecast and the incoming finance committee will be asked to review the position in the best interests of affiliated clubs.

The accounts were adopted as read. Proposed by Eve Haswell and seconded by John Smith.
