We are looking for new graduates with business or social research background to help us on a few specific contracts. This is an entry, full-time position with an opportunity for a right candidate to quickly move into a junior consultant position after 3 to 4 months of probation period.

The responsibilities for the position include:

  • Managing and updating the database including Fluid Survey;
  • Supporting data collection activities (e.g., conducting interviews, conducting surveys online and over the phone surveys, participating in the focus groups; managing contact lists);
  • Research topics using online sources, literature and documents;
  • Gather and organize information;
  • Data cleaning and preliminary analysis;
  • Summary of results (e.g. produce charts, tables and graphs to best represent information).
  • Business Development (assisting business development officer with organizing material, and proposal writing);
  • Support senior manager in other research activities.

A detail oriented and disciplined individual with a strong desire to learn and grow their professional career. Other requirements:

  • A self-starter who enjoys researching and analyzing data with the ability to interpret and present information;
  • Superb time management and analytical and writing skills, with strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy;
  • Post secondary education, and some experience in data collection and analysis;
  • Good interviewing skills;
  • Solid understanding of research methods;
  • Outstanding oral and written English skills;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Access; experience with Fluid Survey is an asset;

Ability to learn quickly and understand the core issues of the subject matter. We work with a wide range of clients and subject matter (e.g. various government agencies and industries, non-profits and private business). Curiosity and ability to quickly understand new program or business operations is very important to be successful in this job.
