Letter to DSA Hospitals

(on new letterhead with new logo)

March 28, 2013

Dear <Name of Person(s) at Hospital>:

We are honored to work with your dedicated physicians and staff in the life saving mission of organ and tissue donation. We value our partnership, which is why we are excited to announce a change to our program’s name. Effective March 28, 2013, the UW Health Organ Procurement Organization will be known as UW Organ and Tissue Donation (UW OTD).

Over the past several years, our program has undergone significant transformations, including the addition of tissue development services. When we decided to rename our program, we knew that our new identity had to represent our mission, our home here at UW and the services we provide. Our new name simplifies this statement, and accurately represents our history as one of the nation’s finest programs. We look forward to using our new name and logo as we continue our mission.

Rest assured that this is simply a change to our name, not our long-standing partnerships with hospitals, donor families, volunteers and community members. We will continue our efforts to support, educate, and build and maintain strong relationships, and most importantly to continue serving and supporting donor families.

Sincerely,

Jill Ellefson

Executive Director
