High School Coach of the Year

  1. Divisions are asked to nominate at least one person each year for this award. A division or a certified member may submit nominations. Self-nominations are acceptable. All information is held in strict confidence. Nominees must be USPTA-certified members (Master Pro, Elite Pro or Professional level) in good standing. All other member categories are ineligible, including Recreational Coaches, honorary members and applicants.
  2. This award is designed primarily for team coaches, however, consideration will be given to coaches who have done an outstanding job with individual players. To be eligible for this award, applicants must be actively coaching a school team (or player) during the designated award year. Active USPTA involvement is also a very important criterion.
  1. The awards period for 2015 is from July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015.
  1. The forms on the following pages must be completed in detail (please type). Newspaper clippings, interviews or highlights of the applicant’s career are very important. A color photograph and biographical information of the applicant is also required.
  1. ALL applications can now be submitted as PDFs and submitted via email. Large PDF files may be burned to a CD/DVD and mailed in. The Awards Committee encourages applicants to submit their applications and all supporting materials in one of the above electronic formats.
  1. The deadline for the USPTA World Headquarters to receive all 2015 award applications is July7, 2015. Having an application postmarked July 7 is not acceptable and those applications will not be considered by the Awards Committee. Applications submitted via email must be emailed by July 7 at 11:59 p.m. Central time. The entire application and ALL supporting materials must be received on or before the deadline date to be considered. The Awards Committee will not accept applications received after the deadline.   1. Individuals may submit this application. To receive credit for the nomination, a division must include the completed application in its notebook (hard copy or electronic), as well.
  1. The award may or may not be given each year, at the committee’s discretion. Recipients will be announced/recognized during the 2015 USPTA World Conference in New Orleans, LA.
