Hi-Fi Network Music Streamer

PRESS RELEASE 25th October 2013

QED Introduces ‘uPlay Stream’, A ‘Breakthrough’

Ultra-Affordable, Hi-Fi, Network Music Streamer

QED, the UK’s leading hi-fi and home cinema ‘connectivity’ company, is pleased to introduce ‘uPlay Stream’ the latest addition to its highly successful range of wireless streaming accessories.

Talking about the new product, Jack Fox, QED’s Brand Manager stated:

“We believe the new uPlay Stream ‘moves the goalposts’. For the first time, users can experience genuine Hi-Fi sound quality from a product that is extremely easy to set up and use, and a fraction of the cost of its competitors.”

“It enables people to access all the high quality music they’ve stored electronically on their computer, tablet, smartphone or network storage, and enjoy it streamed wirelessly through their existing audio or home cinema system.”

Asked to expand on his claim that the uPlay Stream is a ‘breakthrough’ product, Jack Fox said: “QED’s design team has literally ‘thought outside the box’. Conventional hi-fi network streamers are large and have beautifully finished casework, knobs, buttons and exotic displays – all of which are very expensive and, more importantly, completely unnecessary in today’s ‘Smartphone’ age.”

“uPlay Stream on the other hand, is a small, neat box that plugs into your system but never needs to be seen. Why? Because controlling the uPlay Stream couldn’t be more straightforward. You simply download the user friendly, dedicated uPlay ‘apps’ that are available for both iOS and Android.”

The uPlay Stream connects your digitally stored music collection to your audio or home cinema system. Allowing you to browse and stream high resolution music files using Wi-Fi or Ethernet from mobile devices, server devices and even ‘Cloud’ storage, such as ‘Drop BoxTM’ and ‘Sky DriveTM’
