Our Vision

Progress Through Education:

Our vision is to develop a new generation of doctors with academic excellence who would be able to provide better medical care to the patients and service to the society upholding all the values and ethics of medical profession.

Our Mission

Our mission is to cater to the health needs of the society with well trained medical professionals.

What makes SNIMS unique is that as a charitable organisation, the management is interested to provide medical care without profit motive. This attitude helps to keep rates comparatively lower than Medical colleges of other charitable organisations in Ernakulum so that the population between Ernakulam and Trissur can avail specialized medical care at affordable rates.

Medical College

Started MBBS classes in the year 2009 with batch strength of 100 students each and our first batch is appearing for the final examination in 2014. Of these, students allotted by the Government are admitted in 50 seats and the remaining 50 are filled by students who pass the entrance examination conducted by the management with the approval of the Government. We are blessed that we have experienced faculty from all over India, who have excelled in teaching and research in their disciplines.

The principal has the support of three vice principals, who keenly follow the development of the students in our Institution and guide them to become true professionals. We aim for the growth of the student in the academic front as well as a total human being. The resultsof the examinations speak for the dedication of the teachers and the hard work of the students. Sports and literary activities are promoted to contribute in our effort to mould good individuals who can contribute in their own ways in the development of the society.

Separate hostel facilities for girls and boys are provided where spacious rooms on twin sharing basis, common rooms, computer rooms, gymnasium and facilities for indoor games add to the attraction. Canteen facilities are excellent where quality culinary fare is served. Health Insurance is mandatory for all students and the stay in wardens ensure supervision and security.

The central library on the first floor has all the required text books, journals and periodicals. Our air conditioned library is divided into internal reading room, external reading room, Journal club and digital library. We have 60 national and 40 odd international journals and every year we are increasing the subscription. Digital library has 25 systems with access to all indexed journals.

Training in Yoga and meditation have started and bimonthlysupervised presentations and discussions on health issues for students are planned for his academic year. Facilities for all indoor and outdoor sports like football, hockey, cricket, basket ball, volley ball badminton and table tennis are provided.
