The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 (EAW Regs) came into force on 1st April 1990.If anyone intends to use any portable electrical device at Portadown Festival a PortableAppliance Testing (PAT) form available from the secretary MUST be completed and returned to the secretary of the section BEFORE any equipment is used. This includesfor example – portable sound equipment, keyboards, smoke machines, hair straightners,hair dryers . Any portable electrical device that plus into the electrical supply at CraigavonBorough Council venues. Failure to complete the form will leave the appliance user liablefor any subsequentclaims. RETENTION PERIOD – 3 YEARS
