NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual General Meeting of KING’S LYNN Sea Cadet Unit will be held at the TS VANCOUVER, ST MARGARETS LANE,KING’S LYNN PE30 5DS at 19:30 hrs on Thursday 10th November 2016 to transact the following business.

AGENDA

  1. Apologies for Absence.
  2. Opening address by Eastern Area Business Manager.
  3. Minutes of the last AGM for adoption.
  4. Matters arising from those Minutes.
  5. Commanding Officer’s Report.
  6. Election of a new Unit Management Team (UMT)* (individual votes to take place from nominations received).
  7. Break for Refreshments – to allow new UMT to elect office holders i.e. Chairmen/Vice Chairmen/Treasurer/Secretary
  8. Adoption of Accounts
  9. Any Other Business**.

*Notes:

  • Election of the UMT – All Individuals who are seeking election onto the UMT must have their nomination proposed and seconded by a member (to check who the members are please contact Joanne Davis or Sean Moore).
  • Nominations can only be accepted if they are submitted on the official nomination form which can be obtained from Mrs Joanne Davis, 44 Jarvis Road King’s Lynn, PE30 2EQ Tel: 07979028872or directly from the unit CO Sean Moore.
  • Forms will be made available from 20TH OCTOBER 2016.
  • There are criteria laid down in Sea Cadet Regulations (SCR) as to who is eligible to sit on the UMT. Please see Sea Cadet Regulations or contact Joanne Davis or Sean Moore for details.
  • Any waiving of these criteria is at the discretion of the Area Business Manager.
  • Only fully completed forms will be accepted.
  • Proof of posting is not proof of receipt.
  • All Adult Volunteers in the Sea Cadets are required to attend an Adult Induction course within their first 9 months of joining the organisation which includes Safeguarding training, and also to complete online responsible for information training shortly after joining.

Fully completed nomination forms need to be received by Mrs Joanne Davisno later than Tuesday 8th NOVEMBER 2016.

All newly elected UMT members will be required to undergo a criminal record disclosure (DBS check), complete a P1 application form to join Sea Cadets which includes a Trustee Declaration indicating that they know of no reason why they cannot become a charity trustee*, and attend an Adult Induction Course within 9 months of joining
