INVIRNMENTAL HAZARDS

In the environment, this substance and/or its components are expected to remain on the water and soil surface and persist.

PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL HAZARDS / FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS

Low hazard. Material can form flammable mixtures or can burn only upon heating to temperatures at or above the flash point.

Dust. Material in form of dust is subject to explosions.

Static Discharge. Product can accumulate static charges which can cause an incendiary electrical discharge

4 FIRST AID MEASURES

INHALATION:

Not applicable.

SKIN CONTACT:

 Flush with large amounts of water; use soap if available.

Remove grossly contaminated clothing, including shoes, and launder before reuse.

EYE CONTACT:

Flush eyes with large amounts of water until irritation subsides. If irritation persists, get medical attention.

INGESTION:

First aid is normally not required.

5 FIRE- FIGHTING MEASURES

FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURES:

Use water spray to cool fire exposed surfaces and to protect personnel. Block the supply to the fire.

Extinguish the fire by cooling with water spray.

Use foam, dry chemical ,.or water spray to extinguish fire

SPECIAL FIRE PRECAUTIONS:

See also Section 4 “FIRST AID MEASURES” as well as Section 10 “STABILITY AND REACTIVITY”.

Respiratory and eye protection required for fire fighting personnel.

Avoid spraying water directly into storage containers due to danger of boilover

STORAGE / HANDLING, GENERAL NOTES

Material may form dust and can accumulate electrostatic charges, which may cause an electrical spark (ignition source).Use proper earthing procedures. A technical information sheet entitled “Safety Measures for prevention of Electrostatic Charge Build-up when handling resins”(in English) gives guidelines to minimise the risk of dust explosions. This technical information sheet may be obtained through our Sales office.

DO NOT handle, store or open near an open flame, sources of heat or sources of ignition. Protect material from direct sunlight.

DO NOT stack pallets of bagged material. The product maybe dimensionally unstable under certain conditions (temperature, sunlight).
