Concept paper of 1st thematic workshop on water allocation and water right
- Thematic Workshop
Thematic Workshop is a small-group of study conference for a focused and specific theme. In order to deepen discussion, the scale of this workshop is planned to be small. In addition, we plan to hold series of workshops with one theme, more than once.
We take up water allocation and water right issue under the theme of the 1st thematic workshop. This was decided on the basis of a investigating the need of NARBO members.
- Objectives and Contents
Objectives
-To share information of current status of participating countries
-To make clear the problems facing in participating countries, and
-To approach a problem of the improvement in cooperation with participants
With regard to water allocation and water right issues, there is no common and only way out of the improvement. Therefore, the way of improvement of these issues is need to be in line with the status and condition of each country, and participants themselves should consider it. The final goal is to prepare report on “Issues and way of improvement with regard to water allocation and water right in participants’ countries”
Workshop
The workshop will total four times in two years. We plan to hold workshops twice a year. In addition, between each workshop, we require participants to discuss about their issues based on the outcome of workshops.

3rd- Review the 1st and 2nd workshop
