FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT:

The Narendra Paul Loomba Department of Management of the Zicklin School of Business is seeking to fill an open position of Assistant or Associate Professor in Operations Management. This is a tenure track position. The successful candidate would be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate required courses in operations management as well as electives in operations management. In particular, we are seeking a faculty member with strong capabilities in business analytics with applications in supply chain, process analysis, and related OM areas.
The Narendra Paul Loomba Department of Management includes a faculty group of approximately 100 full-time and part-time faculty involved in teaching and research related to an array of subject matter areas. These areas include: a) Business, Society, and Sustainability; b) Entrepreneurship; c) Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management; d) Operations Management; and e) Strategic Management. The Operations Management area of the department has grown in recent years; however, there is still need to increase the number of faculty members in this area to best be able to contribute to strategic goals set forth in the Zicklin Strategic Plan 2014-2019, including promoting academic excellence and meeting teaching demand across levels, as well as continuing a program of world-class, impactful research.
The Zicklin School of Business is the largest AACSB-accredited business school in the United
States and offers an array of full-time, part-time, executive, and honors programs leading to
BBA, MBA, MS, and PhD degrees. The Zicklin School of Business has seven departments
including the Narendra Paul Loomba Department of Management, Stan Ross Department of
Accountancy, Paul H. Chook Department of Information Systems and Statistics, Bert W.
Wasserman Department of Economics and Finance, Department of Law, Allen G. Aaronson
Department of Marketing and International Business, and William Newman Department of
Real Estate, which can facilitate extensive research collaborations across disciplines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Operations Management or a related field. Preferred qualifications would include strong background in business analytics with applications in supply chain, process analysis, and related OM areas. The successful candidate is expected to lead or participate in research in these and related fields. We are seeking someone who is professionally mature, capable of guiding the department in the development of new business analytics courses at all levels (BBA. MBA, MS, and PhD), and someone who would continue to enhance the department's reputation in these areas. The successful candidate must have defended his/her dissertation prior to the start of employment.
