Fashion Show
A VERY BIG thank you goes to the Friends of Ballymacward for all their hard work in organising the recent Fashion Show. There is so much hard work carried out behind the scenes by the volunteers who make these events so successful. And also a very big thank you to everyone who came along to support the event on the night – we are glad that so many of you were able to be here, and we hope you enjoyed seeing the latest fashions and trends as worn by our very talented models! Our mini-models were fabulous and well done to our adult models (Mrs Connolly, Ms Coleman and Mrs Belshaw) and to our staff models too.
Sports Day
Sports Day will be held between 12.30pm and 2pm on either: Wednesday 6th June, Thursday 7th June or Friday 8th June – whichever is the first dry day. Please make sure your child has PE kit and trainers in school, and school will close at 2pm on each of these days.
P6 Support Classes
Parents of pupils in P6 will have received a separate list of dates for the P6 support sessions.
Eco-Schools Council
Our school Eco-Council are recycling aluminium cans and these can be brought into school on Monday mornings and left in the covered waiting area.
Website/Notice Boards
Our website address is ballymacwardps.net. Lots of information about important dates, school events, project work and photographs is regularly uploaded to our website so that you can keep up to date with what is going on at Ballymacward. Please take a look and if you have any comments or suggestions you can send us feedback via the site survey.
Car Parking
May we remind parents that parking is restricted to the church car park, and children should be escorted to the playground gate at drop-off / pickup each day.

School Closes for pupils at 2pm on Tuesday 30th October 2012 and re-opens at 9.15am on Monday 5th November 2012.
Christmas Holiday
School closes for pupils at 12noon on Friday 21st December 2012.
TERM 2
Pupils start back at 9.15am on Monday 7th January 2013.
Mid-Term Break
School closes for pupils at 2pm on Friday 15th February 2013 and re-opens at 9.15am on Monday 25th February 2013.
Easter Holiday
School closes for pupils at 12noon on Wednesday 27th March 2013.
TERM 3
School re-opens for pupils at 9.15am on Monday 8th April 2013.
May Bank Holiday
School will be closed for pupils on Monday 6th May 2013.

School will be closed for pupils on Friday 24th May 2013 and Monday 27th May 2013
Summer Holiday
School closes for pupils at 12noon on Friday 28th June 2013.
*Two further Staff Training Days to be arranged.
Please study this holiday list as it is important children are not absent from school during term time unless ill. ABSENCE FOR ANY OTHER REASON INCLUDING HOLIDAYS TAKEN DURING TERM TIME WILL BE NOTED AS “UNAUTHORISED” ON ATTENDANCE RECORDS. Excluding Emergencies, could you please ensure that doctor, dentist, optician and hospital appointments are made outside school hours.
