We are cordially inviting you all for the XXIX statutary conference of all India federation of University and College Teachers' Organiation (AIFUCTO) hosted by Savitribai Phule Pune University and College Teacher's Organisation (SPPUCTO) in Shirdi (Maharashtra) during 18 - 20 December 2017.
We are honoured to extend a warm invitation to all the delegates and observers from affiliated organisations of AIFUCTO to take part in this conference.
As you are all aware, the AIFUCTO conference offers a forum to its members to discuss, analyse and debate the key issues concerning educational and related fields in the Indian as well as in the global contexts. AIFUCTO, since its inception, has been in the forefront when comes to contributing the cause of higher education in India. Keeping in view the role AIFUCTO has been playing over the years, this statutory conference sets for itself the objective of arriving at pragmatic resolutions with regards to the future roadmap of higher education in India, besides addressing the beliefs and apprehensions of the teaching community about the current educational policy.
Accordingly, the topic "Reforms in Higher Educations : Challenges and Opportunities" has been chosen as the theme of the conference.
We believe that the delegates at the conference will contribute realistically to the discourse on the theme and help AIFUCTO to come up with concrete suggestions.

Delegates to the conference will have to register for it either individually or group by sending in a filled-in Registration Form, the speciman of which has been given herewith, via email and also remit the required registration fee. The email id for the purpose is shirdiconference . The registration fee may be paid either by demand draft or by bank transfer on or before 15th November 2017. The demand draft is to be drawn in favour of AIFUCTO Conference Shirdi 2017 payble at Kopargaon and to be sent to General Secretary, S.P. ABOUT SHIRDI
Shirdi is a town located in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra state. Shirdi is famously known as the home of the late 19th century saint Shri Sai Baba. The Shri Saibaba Trust located in Shirdi is second richest temple organization in India. Sai baba, was an Indian spiritual master who is regarded by his devotees as a saint, a fakir, a satguru and an incarnation (avatar) of Lord Shiva or lord Dattatraya. He is revered by both his Hindu and Muslim devotees, as well as after his lifetime. Climate in Shirdi in month of December : Shirdi climate is pleasant in the Month of December, tempreture during the day will be 12-300C and in night will be 8-120 C Warm clothes will be needed.
How to reach Shirdi
By Air : Nearer Airports are, Aurangabad - 100 Kms., Pune - 175 Kms., Mumbai - 296 Kms. Shirdi Airport is Inaugurated on 1st Oct. 2017.
By Rail : The Shirdi railway station is about 6 Kms. away from conference venue but limited trains coming to this station.
Kopargaon railway station (15 Kms from Shirdi) is on Manmad Junction to Daund Junction railway track. Shirdi is 58 Kms. from Manmad and 160 Kms from Daund. Both Manmad and Daund junctions are well connected to different parts of the country by train.
By Road : Shirdi is very well connected by road. State transport and travel buses are frequently available from Daund, Manmad, Pune, Ahmednagar, Nasik, Mumbai and Aurangabed. Many cities in the nearby states are connected to Shirdi by travels

PLACES OF TOURIST INTEREST NEAR SHIRDI
Aurangabad :- Aurangabad is a district place in maharashtra & headquarter of Marathwada region 100 km. far from Shirdi. The city is tourist hub with heritage sites as Bibi ka Maqbara (Replica of Tajmahal), Panchakki (water mill). Ajantha and Ellora caves are the UNESCO world heritage sites near Aurangabad.
Ajanta Caves :- (200 kms from Shirdi) Ajanta caves are 100 kms. from Aurangabad These are 29 rock cut Buddhist cave monuments. The caves include paintings and rock cut sculptures described as among the finest surviving example of ancient Indian art, particularly expressive paintings that present emotions through gesture; pose & forms.
Ellora Caves (90 Kms. from shirdi) :- It is one of the largest rock-cut monastry-temple caves comlexes in the world. The site presents monuments and artwork of Buddhism, Hinduism & Jainism. Cave -16 of Ellora features the largest single monolithik rock excavation in the world, the Kailash temple.
Nasik :- Nasik is an ancient city in the northwest region of Maharashtra, 88 kms from Shirdi. Nasik is important historically mythologically & culturally, known for the temples on the bank of the Godavari river (Southern ganga). It is also famous for hosting Sinhastha Kumbh Mela once in every twelve years.Trimbakeshwar is dedicated to the god Shiva and is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas 28 km. from Nasik.
Ahmednagar :- Shirdi is in Ahmednagar district, 95 km. from Ahmednagar. It is historical city with Ahmednagar fort, built by Malik Ahmad Nizam Shah-I in 1427, after whom the city was named as Ahmednagar. The fort was used during British Raj as a prison where Jawaharlal Nehru, Abul Kalam azad, Sardar Patel were detained. Jawaharlal Nehry wrote his popular book, the Discovery of India in Ahmednagar fort when he was imprisoned.
Shani Shingnapur :- The village popular for Shani Temple is 74 km. from Shirdi. This village is known for houses without doors only door frames, Officially no theft was reported in the village.
Newasa :- Newasa is a tahasil in Ahmednagar district 64 kms. from Shirdi. It is famous for the Mohiniraj Temple incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Saint Dnyaneshwar wrote the Dyaneshwari at Newasa besides a pole (pais Khamb) which still is there.
Devgad :- Devgad village in Newasa tahasil is famous for huge temple of Lord Dattatraya created by Late Guruvarya Shri Kisangiri Maharaj on the bank of Pravara river. It is 74 km. from shirdi.
