PARKS & RECREATION BOARD MEETING
March 27, 2017
CALL TO ORDER
Vice Chairman Hykes called the meeting to order at 5:03 PM at the Dickinson Township Municipal Building located at 219 Mountain View Road in Mount Holly Springs, PA 17065.
ROLL CALL - The following were present for the meeting: Diana Hykes, Molly Baehr, and Nate Merkel.
VISITORS – Marge Metzger.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - Those present recited the pledge of allegiance.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Molly Baer motioned to approve the Agenda as written. Nate Merkel seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Nate Merkel motioned to approve the February 27, 2017 minutes. Molly Baer seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
GENERAL PUBLIC INPUT None
FINANCIAL STATUS
The Financial Report, as prepared by Marge Metzger was reviewed.
NEW BUSINESS
1. Spring Yard Sale – April 22, 2017
Diana Hykes provided flyers to hand out for the spring yard sale. The Board had discussion for locations where the Townhip could place the signs advertising for the yard sale. Diana Hykes stated she will contact Twirly Top. The Township will also place a sign at Stewart Park.
2. Fishing Derby – May 6, 2017
Nate Merkel placed the order for 300 trout for the fishing derby with Green Spring Fish Hatchery to be delivered at Stewart Park. It was mentioned that the Township will provide hotdogs and refreshments for purchase by the attendees of the derby. Details of the fishing derby will discussed among the Board. It was decided to have trophies ordered for first, second, and third places for each children’s age class.

ADJOURNMENT
Molly Baehr motioned to adjourn the meeting at 5:47 PM. The motion was seconded by Nate Merkel and passed unanimously. The next meeting will be April 24, 2017.
