G&D Integrated is currently looking for a Human Resource Generalist who will be responsible for providing HR Support to our East Peoria and surrounding facilities.Areas of responsibility include employee relations, recruiting, benefits, and safety.
SELECTED RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Employee Relations-Serves as employee resource to an assigned company site. Provides requested information, resolves conflicts, opens lines of communication, & recommends corrective action when needed. Assists management in policy interpretation.Coordinate and conduct HR training, employee meetings, and employee relations events. Distribute hourly performance appraisals. Manage Unitime on a daily basis. Write job descriptions. Assist employees with payroll questions.
  • Recruiting-Serve as a liaison with the Recruiting department to provide feedback on interviews; coordinate interviews and forklift tests; sit in on interviews and make suggestions for selection; work with temporary agencies to bring in temporary staff; administer the internal job posting program.
  • Benefits- Relay leave status information to the Corporate HR Generalist; answer general benefits questions and escalate complex issues to the Corporate HR Generalist; work with the Safety Manager on ADAA accommodations.
  • Safety-Ensure overall safe work environment for employees, in conjunction with operations supervisors; take the lead in monthly safety communications through various forms of distribution; perform audits/walk-through to ensure safe policies are being followed and facilities are well organized and clean; assists Logistics Safety Manager in on-site training sessions; handle discipline based on established Safety Department policies, in conjunction with operations supervisors; serve as a first responder to investigate safety incidents; and coordinate safety programs.

The successful candidate must have aBachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business Management, Human Resources, or Psychology; a minimum of two years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience; proficient personal computer skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with Abra Suite is preferred but not required.
