1.Microentrepreneur Award for Sustainability

This award recognises the success of an outstanding microentrepreneur who has benefited from the support of a responsible finance provider. A prize fund of £6,000 will be presented to the winner. This category emphasises impact and sustainability of businesses, rather than growth orientation.
It recognises businesses employing less than ten (10) individuals, serving as the sole source of income for at least one of the individuals.

2.Microentrepreneur Award for Growth

This award recognises the success of an outstanding microentrepreneur who has benefited from the support of a responsible finance provider. A prize fund of £6,000will be presented to the winner.
This category emphasizes focused, strategic business growth and competitive advantage in the marketplace.
This award recognises businesses that employ more than ten (10).
The business will have started as a microenterprise which exhibit signs of strong growth potentially leading to a small or medium enterprises.
Evidence of its beginning as a micro-enterprise should be made in the development below.

This category emphasizes youth, creativity and innovation; an individual with vision and passion.

This award recognises the success of an outstanding social entrepreneur with a clear social or environmental mission who has benefited from the support of a responsible finance provider. A prize fund of £6,000will be presented to the winner.
This category emphasizes innovative solutions addressing social or environmental problems; an individual who has taken an entrepreneurial approach to creating social change.

5. Effective Partnership Working

This award marks the outstanding achievements of a Responsible Finance provider through its partnership work. A prize fund of £20,000 will be presented to the winning Responsible Finance provider. We are looking for a genuine, sustainable partnership between a Responsible Finance provider and a number of public, private or third sector organisation. This award celebrates partnerships that have improved access to finance through innovation. Entrants should be able to show how the partnership has used innovation to extend the reach, impact or capability of the Responsible Finance provider

6. Outstanding Customer Services

This award recognises the ability of the Responsible Finance provider to provide their clients with outstanding customer services. A prize fund of £20,000 will be presented to the winning Responsible Finance provider. We are looking for applications which demonstrate how the Responsible Finance provider’s customer focus ensures their clients achieve their goals. We would welcome examples of any innovative approaches used in improving customer services.

7. Outstanding Loan Officer

8. Responsible Finance Leader

This award champions the efforts of an individual to improve access to finance and support the Responsible Finance providers’ sector. There is no prize money, but the winner will receive extensive profile raising and recognition. This prize is an opportunity for anyone working in the sector to nominate an individual who has shown commitment, dedication, vision and energy to help a particular the Responsible Finance provider or the broader community finance industry.
We are seeking leaders who have, for example:
  • Founded or played a crucial role in the development of a Responsible Finance provider
  • Championed the cause of the Responsible Finance providers and those they serve – locally, regionally, nationally or internationally
  • Acted as an inspirational leader to their Responsible Finance provider’s team
  • Helped to raise the profile of the Responsible Finance providers in the media
  • Played a strong networking role within the Responsible Finance providers’ sector.
