:: art 249 client web site survey

Please take a moment to complete this short questionnaire. The information that you provide will help enable the students to create a site that is best suited for your needs.

  1. Please provide for us a brief description of the project. Be sure to include any relevant background information that we should know.

All METRO Furniture Services Inc. is a delivery and installation company of corporate office furnishings, specializing in installing Moveable Walls and Systems Panels. The company has 2 very experienced owners, Rich Palmer and Fran Vitelli and a staff of 25. They are manufacturer certified installers of several floor-to-ceiling products and major systems manufacturers.

  1. Do you already have a web site? Or is there a web page or site that already exists where users can read about your organization online? If so, what is the url? How do you feel about this existing site/page? What would you like to do if you had your own site?

No website exists. ( see # 3 for example)

  1. How big do you anticipate the site being? How many pages do you think that it should have? How would you categorize and title those pages?
(Example: this site consists of 4 pages total, a home page, a services description page, an about us page, and a contact us page)

Aside from the cheesy patriotic design, the website has a very similar setup that we are looking for with same tabs: Home / Clients & Projects / About Us / Contact Us

Other sites: and

  1. What is your primary objective for this site? What is the main purpose for having this site?
(Example: to provide a way for potential clients to find out more information about us online)

To have a website that confirms the professionalism of the organization. To inform others of All METRO’s clients/references, to be able to contact All METRO, for future employees to check out the company, to list out services they provide.

  1. Who is your target audience?
  2. Age 20-60
  3. Gender - Both Male and Female
  4. Income - 50,000 to 200,000
  5. Education - college education
  6. Occupation - Furniture Dealerships, Project Managers
  7. Computer experience – Good Experience and can Navigate Internet well
  8. Spending Habits
  9. Special Interests
  10. Geographic Location - NY/NJ Metro Area
  11. Who are your competitors? Do they have any web sites? If so, briefly tell us what you like and dislike about their sites.
(Example: – “they have a ‘Collection’ section similar to what we would like to have, but we do not like the design of their site. It’s too directed toward an adult audience. As a children’s art museum, we would like something more fun and colorful.”)
    Mentioned in Question #3
  12. In addition to the text that will be on the web site, what additional assets, or digital files, do the designers need from you in order to build your site?
(Example: photos of your staff, photos of your building, pdfs that you would like to post on your site, articles or press releases you would like to post on your site, your mission statement, etc.)
We will need to send out the current METRO logo, to be re-designed by the student to read All METRO. The company recently had a name change. The new logo can be similar to the old one, but only the NAVY color needs to be kept. The company’s shirts are navy. If a digital asset can be transferred to us, stationary, cards, T-shirts, and trucks may get the new design. All new logo designs are to be presented to Chris Gargiulo for a final logo approval.
  1. What else is important to you that you think that we should know?

The owner likes to drink Corona with Lime.
Here’s some wording for consideration:

All METRO services NY/NJ/PA/CT.

After selection of office furniture, the next important step is the selection of your installation company. Many manufacturers require certified professional installers to handle the detailed work required to have a safe and accurate installation.

There are many considerations in a project installation such as labor; Union or Non-Union, field measurements for the location of core drill locations, site survey; elevator access, floor and wall protection, etc. After so many years of experience, the owners are well versed in the types of conditions that may occur and can be pro-active in planning for a successful project.

All METRO is aware that the installation leaves the last impression on the end-users mind, as well as their clients. This last critical part of a project can secure repeat business and All METRO wants to be a part of that process.
