ALUMINUM USA 2017: Conference program presents future solutions and concepts

·  Conference alongside ALUMINIUM USA Trade Fair

·  October 25-26, 2017, Music City Center, Nashville, TN

Aluminum is the material for the future – this will be demonstrated by ALUMINUM USA 2017 trade fair in Nashville, Tennessee. The show will also feature a first-rate, curated conference program offering an overview of the future opportunities of aluminum in different application markets. From 25 to 26 October, professionals from all areas of the aluminum industry, manufacturers of semi-finished products, and subsuppliers will present the latest innovative and future-looking solutions. From transportation to packaging, sustainability, and lightweighting innovations the program will cover a total of 27 presentations, panels, workshops, and plant tours.

An expert panel will share perspectives on the competion in today’s global aluminum market, growth opportunities, and emerging markets. Experts from industry and government authority will discuss leadership skills necessary for today’s complex environment.

One of the most important innovation and growth drivers for aluminium is the automotive industry. The conference will demonstrate the future of aluminum’s role in vehicles – for example how and why Ford plans to expand aluminum’s implementation in their F Series Truck Program.

The building and construction industry also represents an important growth market for aluminium. In a session, experts will discuss opportunities and threats to the use of aluminium as a predominant building façade material.

The interactive GLAFRI Aluminum Packaging Seminar will provide information and insights into aluminum packaging. Through a series of short, individual presentations, speakers will demonstrate the importance of aluminum in everyday life and present the broad range of applications for aluminum packaging.

Beside the application industries of aluminium, the conference will also focus on trailblazing solutions for increased efficiency in aluminium production and processing as well as recycling. The sessions cover new technologies in casting, extrusion, additive manufacturing, and coating.

Pre-show-events give exclusive insights

The conference will start with two special pre-show events on Tuesday, 24 October: a 2-day casthouse safety workshop (presented by The Aluminum Association) and a Nissan Smyrna vehicle assembly plant tour, where participants can explore all stages of the manufacturing process.

The conference for ALUMINIUM USA 2017 begins every morning at 10:15 a.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m. Lectures will be held at the Learning Theatre in the exhibition hall without any additional costs. Only the two pre-show events requires the purchase of separate tickets.

ALUMINUM USA showcase the potential of the American aluminium industry

The conference will be held alongside ALUMINIUM USA Trade Fair in Nashville, Tennessee. From 25 to 26 October 2017, about 200 international exhibitors from the US, Canada, and overseas, will cover the industry’s varied deployment and growth opportunities. The trade fair unites producers, processors, technology suppliers, and consumers along the entire value chain – from raw materials through to semi-finished and finished products. ALUMINIUM USA is the leading B2B platform in North America for the aluminum industry and its main applications. More than 2,000 trade visitors, including decision-makers from aluminum manufacturing and processing, distributors, and associations are expected to attend the second edition of ALUMINUM USA trade show.

ALUMINUM USA is organized by Reed Exhibitions – the world’s largest organizer of trade fairs and conventions – and supported by Aluminum Association, the leading voice of the North American aluminum industry, as the event’s exclusive partner.
