ROAD CROSSINGS

Marshals have no power to stop traffic. Competitors cross at their own risk.

THE ROUTE & TERRAIN

A good normal supportive running shoe is recommended.

The 10K shortcut is a solid forest track which joins / crosses the ski road at Loch Morlich. The Half Marathon is mostly solid forest tracks and paths around Loch Morlich. There are a couple of narrow bridges which

require care. Then it follows the Ski Road to Aviemore. The Half crosses the ski road twice. Once at Alltmor near the start and once near the finish at Rothiemurchus Fish Farm. The route uses the Old Spey Bridge, then the railway underpass to cross Aviemore High Street to the Finish which is

in front of the Strathspey Hotel.
