GOLDEN LEAGUE BOYS GOLF FORMAT FOR TEAM AND INDIVIDUAL PLAY
2017-18 CIF QUALIFYING TOURNAMENT IS HOSTED BY Littlerock HS
1. The CIF Individual Qualifying Tournament consists of 18 holes; starting at 10:00am. On the 1st day of the qualifying tournament, the top 16 boys, including ties, with the lowest average from 7 of the 10 league matches will participate.
2. CIF Individual Qualifying Tournament. 18 holes starting at 10:00am. 2nd day of 2 day qualifying tournament.
3. League Champions and CIF qualifiers for team play will be determined by adding total wins and losses for each schools 7 league dual matches. Each school will play all the league schools three times. A perfect record would be 21 wins and 0 losses. In case of a tie between teams for league standing/s, the final standings will be determined by the teams in question head to head record.
4. Each league match will be scored as a double dual format. (1 vs 2, 1 vs 3, 1 vs 4, 2 vs 3, 2 vs 4 and 3 vs 4)
5. The first 4 league matches will score only the first 9 holes and start at 1:30. A school can play any additional number of holes after the first 9, if the course/s allows them. The last 3 matches will score all 18 holes with a start time @ 12:00.
6. Schools will play 6 boys and count the top 5 scores. A school may play and score with only 5 boys.
7. Individual qualifying for CIF will be determined by the combined scores of the final 2 qualifying matches only.
8. The top 6 individual boys will be awarded all-league patches, based on their lowest average score from the best 7 out of 10 regular season matches. If a tie occurs for a spot, the golfer with the lowest round of the 7-10 rounds will break the tie, and so on, until the tie is broken.
9. The winner of the 36 hole CIF qualifier tournament at the end of the season will receive a champion patch.
