2. I do have info from WWCC re the sponsor ship boards and I will pass it onto the clubs who were requesting information but in essence they can be the same size etc as existing boards

3. I also have asked about the half lighting for some teams for training

4. We are awaiting on WWCC to get back to us re the lights On Noonan Turf we are putting up the $17k for the infastucture.

5. WWCC are aware of the unsafe entrance to the fields due to subsidence from the electrical substation work and also ABC sportsclean are aware of the area on at the northern end Noonan Turf that has lifted It was patched in feb 2014 but we have to wait for some dry conditions . I have put sand on it in the mean time.

6. All clubs you are now on your own re canteen so if you need any thing regarding things you may need eg BBQ etc you need to give me ample notice . your dates you should already have.

7. AGAIN please clean out the dugouts and put rubbish in the bins.Under the grand stand was cleaned before uni games and some of the rubbish a volunteer found this weekend was not

Desirable. So if you clean out after your team then we will have no reason to write this section but it happens ALL the time. 29

Development Report

2016 and beyond

 Junior Teams stay with Wagga Hockey

 Incorporate “Push/Pull” Strategies to raise the awareness and increase hockey’s profile within the community.

 Targeted communication within schools, getting the kids to want to play it.

 Focus on parents, giving them reasons why they want their kids to play hockey.

 Broad scale promotion of Wagga Hockey in General

 Assign a Wagga Hockey Representative to be solely responsible for promotion and media communication

 Allocate funds to present Wagga Hockey in a professional manner (fliers/television ads/newspaper ads)

 Clubs assist in Training nights, as coaches and mentor coaches

 All clubs to provide at least 3 coaches to Junior Hockey

 Clubs assist in Junior Umpire Development, provide feedback and mentoring

 Liaising with schools by having a Wagga Hockey Representative assigned to a school

(I have already set up parent contacts for a few schools who would assist this person in making sure information gets into newsletters etc)

 Start the year with a twilight 9 aside competition - open to new and existing players, for under 13’s and Under 16’s

Alongside this we would hold development nights for new and younger players (Under 9’s and Under 11’s)

 Start the season at the commencement of Term 2 rather than starting just before holidays and then having two weeks off

(This was particularly disruptive this year)

 Purchase 4 Junior Goalie kits. These would be used by teams who require them, perhaps charge a small hire fee in order to cover the cost of replacing any damaged or broken equipment
