umw of indiana offers weekend experience at uindy for younger women
INDIANAPOLIS – The United Methodist Women of Indiana will sponsor an event for young women ages 13-40 titled “LIMITLESS: For Such a Time As This” June 27-29, Friday 7 p.m. through Sunday 11 a.m. at the University of Indianapolis, 1400 E. Hanna Avenue in Indianapolis. LIMITLESS is a movement within United Methodist Women to increase participation of young women in United Methodist Women and make the organization truly multigenerational. The weekend will include:· FAITH – Worship and Bible study: Attendees will participate in varied inspirational faith experiences that lay a spiritual foundation and to go beyond barriers;
· HOPE – Sessions: Opportunities for enrichment and education;
· LOVE IN ACTION – Service: “Take Home” service activities. We will find ways United Methodist Women can redefine the organization in the context of a more flexible structure; and
· FUN: Activities to help attendees let loose energy, be creative and bond socially.

christian festival coming to fort wayne, august 8-10
The Lion and Lamb Festival is a community engaging in conversation around issues of faith and justice and inspiring hope. Through art, music and word, the festival will encourage attendees to reflect on issues of spirituality and justice in their everyday lives. Anyone interested in wrestling with questions of faith and doubt, working for justice and peace in the world, or just wanting to listen to great music. All ages, races and backgrounds are welcome.· Friday-Sunday, August 8-10 at Praise Park, 5396 St. Joe Center Road in Fort Wayne

first monday training program for 2014-2015
The First Monday training program is an opportunity for persons to both grow in knowledge and train towards recognition in the area of pastoral care and counseling. Usually held on the First Monday of each month, mornings will be a theory seminar and afternoons will be both a consultation and supervision opportunity (the afternoons will be taped). Topics to be included are brief-term, supportive counseling methods, crisis intervention, grief and loss, divorce recovery, pastoral diagnosis, referral, and the application of pastoral care principals in the broader functions of ministry. Center Chapel UMC, Muncie has an opening in our Children's Ministries. We are seeking a person tofill the position of Director of Children's Ministries. The purpose of this position which is to create a nurturing, fun and interactive environment especially designed for the ages of 4 yrs. to 5th grade (Jesus and Me aka JAM and Christ the King aka ROCK) that is conducive to learning God's word. The director will coordinate and encourage ministries that lead children to know Christ, grow faith and go witness. GREENCASTLE, Ind. – Mission u is for everyone – women, men, youth, children, laity, clergy – you! Mission u is where people of all ages come together to grow in understanding of the mission of the church in the current world context through study, fellowship, worship and fun. Each year, three tracks are featured at the school. This year’s studies are:· Spiritual Growth: “How is it with your Soul”
· Geographic: “The Roma of Europe”
· Social Issue: “The Church and People with Disabilities”

operation classroom workteam at baoma umc school
Operation Classroom will be sponsoring a workteam to volunteer at Baoma UMC School in Sierra Leone. The work will probably involve painting, either in the new assembly hall, or the older buildings. The team is scheduled to leave Indiana on October 28 and return on November 18. The cost could be estimated to be around $3,200 which includes air fare, travel insurance, room and meals in Sierra Leone. Diversity and Professional Boundaries Training is part of Healthy Relationship Awareness. This training is required for all appointed pastors in and beyond the local church at least once every quadrennium. Facilitators will be Jackie Chandler, Greg Hinkle for Professional Boundaries and Sharon White for Diversity. The Delaware County Home Extension Chorus meets on Thursday evenings at St. Paul's (Muncie) @ 6:45-8:30.
Chorus group is only a small group that when combined statewide is a much larger group of over 400 voices that gather @ Purdue Univ. in June, and appear @ State Fair in August. Usually State Fair Group is not full Chorus - 150-200.maybe.
