Child Protection Partnership

AberdeenCity, Aberdeenshire and Moray local authority areas now have separate Child Protection Committees. The NESCPC no longer exists. Some work is still done collaboratively though and, as part of the Child Protection Partnership in the north east, we work together in connection with these matters:
  • A single child protection register
  • Policies, procedures and protocols
  • Multi agency training on core child protection topics
  • Significant case reviews

National Risk Assessment Framework

The CPC have looked at the National Risk Assessment Framework and Toolkit and agree that it is a really useful set of materials. It supports the use of the Framework and Toolkit in AberdeenCity area. It can be accessed here.
Remember to use the Aberdeen City Chronology and Child’s Assessment and Plan which you will find here.
The Framework and Toolkit can be used right away in your teams and with your multi agency partners. It will also be covered in the Child Protection Partnership training course on Child Protection Risk Assessments.
