What Makes a Good Movie Villain?

What Makes a Good Movie Villain?

Informational Poster
Research and gather your information about your chosen villain keeping in mind: “WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN, WHY?” Look for interesting information and pictures that tell about the person and the crime(s) committed or laws broken, as well as the resulting punishment the person might have received as a result of his or her actions. Design an attractive, informative poster that tells about the life of this person in some creative, attractive way. / Tri-Fold Board/Cause and Effect
Use a tri-fold board to show cause and effect as they relate to your villain. What led your villain to a life of crime?
In the center section, place the factual, biographical information and illustrations about your villain.
On the left side cite events that were causes in your villian’s life.
On the right side, cite events that were direct or indirect effects of the causes listed on the left side. / . Timeline
After gathering information about your chosen villain, arrange the details on a timeline that you design to illustrate the course of the person’s life from the beginning leading into person’s crime(s) and up to the resulting punishment. Your timeline should tell a story. Be sure to include as much information as you can without making your timeline too crowded or busy. NOTE: You might want to use roll paper or several sheets of drawing paper neatly glued together.
Graphic Organizer/5 W’s
(Who, What, Where, When, Why)
On a poster board, design a detailed graphic organizer (cluster, spider, etc.) to organize and display the information and illustrations you have gathered about your villain. Your organizer must be well-organized and neatly arranged. Quality information and creativity will be very important to this project. / Source Cards
*(Everyone)*
Use at least three sources to gather information about your villain.
As you are searching for information, keep in mind:
WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN, WHY?”
Cite each source on a 3x5 source card to submit with your project.
(It will help you to do note cards as you research, but you will only be submitting your source cards with your project.) / Rap or Poem
Bonnie Parker was known for writing poems about her life of crime with Clyde Barrow. Those poems gave the public a glimpse of what it was like to be on the run from the law while committing crimes.
Write an original poem or rap to share biographical information about the villain you chose to study. Like Bonnie Parker, be sure to tell a good story that gives details about this person’s life and conveys how they must have felt while living that life.
Fact/Opinion Power Point Presentation
After gathering your information, create an informative, interesting Power Point presentation to share with your class.
You may offer opinions on your villain, but in your opinion slides, be sure to validate them with facts you have learned about the villain you have chosen. Have someone that you trust to proofread your work for accuracy, spelling, and grammar before submitting it. / Movie Maker Presentation
**You must already know how to use a movie making program to complete this task.
After gathering your information, create an orginal movie using pictures or clips that you’ve found to tell an informative, interesting story to background music and effects of your choice. You will share your movie about your chosen villain with your class. / Theme Project
