Dear Parents,

Welcome to first grade! This is an exciting year of growth for your child in both academic and social areas. Ilook forward to spending theup coming schoolyear learning and growing with your child.

Prior to meeting you, I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. I was born and raised in Jamestown, New York (The Birthplace of Lucile Ball) and came to the Philadelphia area to attend school at Beaver College as a Psychobiology major. I continued my education and received a Master’s degree at Arcadia University (formerly known as Beaver College) in elementary education. After receiving my degree, I was able to gain valuable experiences in a variety of school settings and grade levels. I taught at Kencrest Children and Family Services working with children that have developmental delays. I then moved onto St. Martin de Porres School in Germantown, Philadelphia and made one final stop at Belmont Charter School in West Philadelphia before landing my dream job at Council Rock. I have had the privilege of working in the Council Rock School District for twelve and half years, teaching one year at Churchville and then the remaining at Sol Feinstone. In addition to my educational background and experiences, I have had extensive interaction with children of all ages. I was a nanny for five years, I privately tutored student’s k-6, and I am a proud mother to my 7 year old son. Each and every experience has helped shape me into the teacher that I am today.

I want to hear all about your family and your child. Please send in a family photo on your child’s first day of school. This will help us get to know each other, and keep our families near bye for those first day jitters. The pictures will remain up in the classroom all year long. Your child will do a “special share” when their name is drawn, and tell us all about their family and photo. It could even just be a photo of them, a family pet, or somewhere special they have visited.

I look forward to meeting with you and working with your child. We are going to have a very exciting year. See you soon!

Sincerely,

Ms. Sabol
