POSITION:Project Coordinator

HOURS:9am – 5pm

One day per week

DURATION:6 months (Freelance Contract)

LOCATION:Lough Neagh Discovery Centre, Oxford Island

RESPONSIBLE TO: Arts Development Officer, Armagh, Banbridge & Craigavon Borough Council

The post holder will work with the Arts in Motion voluntary committee to instigate and manage arts projects in partnership with the Arts Development Service of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council.

ABOUT ARTS IN MOTION

Arts in Motion is a dynamic voluntary arts organization based in Craigavon. We have worked

in partnership with communities, local authorities and artists to develop arich portfolio of work with lasting cultural and social legacies. We originally formed as anarts advisory forum with a remit to increase access to the arts for local people. Currently, we work in partnership with Armagh,Banbridge & Craigavon Borough Council to deliver creative projectsfor those affected bydisability, lack of resources and social isolation. We use the power of the creative processto make a difference to people’s lives, aiming to inspire and empower them to developskills, explore new ideas and grow in confidence.

Contract duties:

a)Plan and deliver a projects action plan as directed by the Arts in Motion committee

b)Undertake promotion and marketing of AiM by developing and updating the website to showcase activities, project and events

c)Engage in research and development that will result in partnership working

d)Assist in administering budgets for projects and undertake administrative duties related to project delivery, committee meetings and online presence

e)Identify funding opportunities for AiMand assist in securing resources for future projects (including project co-ordinator role)

f)Attend all AiM meetings as required and prepare programme reports and presentations as necessary

g)Comply with and actively promote ABC and AiM’s policy for equal opportunities and child protection.

h)Ensure full compliance with health and safety requirements and legislation.

Your Submission must include the following documentation:

  1. A recent CV describing your relevant experience and demonstrating at least 2 years’ experience coordinating arts and/or cultural projects
  2. 2 examples of projects that you have delivered in the past 5 years

The daily rate for the coordinator post is £100 per day (7hrs per day) and the contract is for 26 days between January 2018 and July 2018
