Curriculum Development for Employment Staff

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
- Overview:
The State of Vermont, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) is a statewide direct service organization within the Department of Disabilities (DAIL), Aging and Independent Living in the Agency of Human Services (AHS). DVR is the lead agency for an AHS legislatively mandated initiative to coordinate employment services and employer outreach across AHS programs called Creative Workforce Solutions (CWS). AHS employment programs are designed to assist a wide range of groups to access and maintain employment including individuals with disabilities, offenders exiting the corrections system, participants in the State Reach Up Program, participants in the State General Assistance Program, youth in state custody, refugees and older workers. The State is interested in developing and delivering a curriculum for Employment staff who serve the above listed vulnerable populations and who work for organizations and AHS departments included under the Creative Workforce Solutions umbrella. Training will be provided to approximately 200 employment staff persons. The purpose of this Request for Information is to solicit ideas on:
- Methods for curriculum development suitable for a wide variety of employment staff, including specifics on content, length, and participant outcomes for Phase I of this project.
- Methods for statewide curriculum delivery for 6-8 sites, including potential vendors and delivery methods for Phase II.
II. Instructions for Submission
- Submission of narratives should address ideas on both #1 & #2 above and include an estimate of costs associated with each Phase.
- Please include information on the background and expertise of the plan developers and the overall approach to this project.
- The narrative should be no longer than three(3) pages [12 font or greater].
- Proposals must be submitted in pdf format.
- Original signature of the individual authorized to submit a proposal must be scanned.
- Bids shall be emailed with a received receipt message to indicate the e-mail was received by Hugh Bradshaw, it is Bidder’s responsibility to contact Hugh Bradshaw at the email stated below.
- Bidder is expected to keep the original paper copy of the proposal at their primary place of business and it must be available for review by State staff.
Information must be submitted electronically to Hugh Bradshaw () by April 13, 2012. Department of Aging and Independent Living/VR will not be responsible for electronic submissions that are not received.
The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation is posting this Request for Information which may or may not lead to a Request for Proposal and a bid process. VR is under no legal obligation to proceed further than this request.
