What is the Favor Academy of Excellence Program?

The FAE program is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that provides support to schools and organizations for teen parents. The program is designed to target teen parents (both mothers and fathers) and assist them in achieving their academic, familial, career and life goals. FAE supports the students academically, emotionally, socially and psychologically. FAE assures that all students receive: Academic support –Via tutorials and guided lessons.

Emotional Support- Via mentorships, empowerment sessions, group sessions and one on one sessions.

Social Support- By providing a safe atmosphere for students to openly participate without inhibitions.

Psychological Support- By providing one on one sessions with state certified counselors and psychologists.

How does FAE service Teen Parents?

In addition to all of the things aforementioned, FAE has designed its own teen parent curriculum for teen parents. In addition, each teen parent is provided with a Mentor and a Counselor that will follow the teen from the moment on interest until they exit the program. These two support persons will assure that their academic, emotional, social and psychological needs are met in order to graduate high school or acquire their GED and transition into college and/or a fulfilling career. FAE works with area colleges and universities to assure our students get into school with minimal requirements.

The students we service are between ages: 13-19

What are FAE’s objectives?

The Favor Academy of Excellence Program has several objectives that we whole heartedly commit to any school or organization that chooses to utilize our services. Our commitments are as follows:

  • To improve attendance rates
  • Increase graduation rates
  • Decrease drop-out rate
  • Provide a system of support to student via mentors and organization staff
  • Offer academic tutorials
  • Increase parental involvement
  • Maintain statistical data including: baseline information, student progress and annual reporting
  • Offer teen parent monthly empowerment sessions
  • Submit documented transition reports after high school information.

How can students enroll?

Students may download an application from the website; they may return it to their counselor. They can also scan the document to the below listed email address or bring it with them to their first session.

Is there a fee for joining the Favor Academy of Excellence Program?

No. FAE programs are completely FREE to Teen Parent applicants.

When are the enrollment periods for the FAE program?

Enrollment is always open! New students are always welcome!

Where does the Favor Program Meet?

Favor Academy of Excellence can come wherever the students are: (i.e, school, facility, group home, church, etc.) New location coming soon in Cobb County.
